OCD850HE Triple-Pass Heat Exchanger

Built for Cobras that see real abuse—standing mile, roll racing, back-to-back pulls, and high ambient conditions.

The OCD850HE was engineered to control IAT2 where it actually matters—under sustained load, not just short bursts.

At its core is an ~850 cubic inch high-efficiency triple-pass design, based on usable cooling volume. Paired with dual 1.25” internal flow tubes and optimized routing, it increases coolant velocity and heat transfer without choking system flow or overworking the pump.

This isn’t a repurposed or adapted design.

This is a purpose-built solution for the 2003–2004 Cobra—engineered to work in conjunction with modern high-flow components for maximum real-world performance.

Key Highlights

  • ~850 cubic inches of usable cooling volume
  • True triple-pass configuration for increased heat rejection
  • Dual 1.25” internal flow architecture for higher coolant velocity
  • Full-width core to maximize usable airflow through the bumper opening
  • Designed around high-flow systems (EMP WP29/32, upgraded intercoolers)
  • Improved temperature stability under sustained load with faster recovery between pulls

Why It Works

Cooling performance isn’t just about size—it’s about how effectively heat is moved.

More Volume
Increased thermal capacity delays heat saturation.

Higher Coolant Velocity
Maintains flow speed to improve heat transfer efficiency.

Balanced Airflow
Designed to use available airflow effectively without unnecessary restriction.

System-Based Design
Engineered to work with modern high-flow pumps and intercoolers.

Designed Around Real System Performance

The OCD850HE was developed around high-flow, real-world setups—not stock limitations.

For optimal performance, it is intended to be paired with:

  • EMP WP29 / WP32 high-flow pump
  • 1” coolant lines and fittings
  • Intercooler reservoir of choice (bypass routing recommended for best results)
  • Upgraded VMP intercooler components
  • MAF Racing front bumper support bar (required for fitment)

What’s Included

  • OCD850HE Heat Exchanger
  • Mounting hardware
  • 1” NPT fittings (90° inlet / straight outlet)
  • Teflon tape for fitting installation

Real Results

This isn’t controlled demo testing.

Every aspect of the design was validated through extensive real-world testing to ensure compatibility with high-flow cooling systems and sustained performance demands.

These are real cars, real conditions, and real data under load.

Who This Is For

  • High-boost, high-load Cobra setups
  • Standing mile, roll racing, repeated pulls
  • Hot climates and extended driving conditions
  • Owners running or planning high-flow cooling systems

Not intended for stock or lightly modified setups with low system demand.

Availability & Shipping

  • Initial batch of 20 units currently in production
  • Estimated availability: ~10 weeks (target 7/6/26)
  • Units ship as completed

Important Note

Cooling performance is system-dependent.

Results will vary based on pump flow, airflow, intercooler efficiency, and overall system configuration.
